The engineering newsletter is optional and separate from any paid lab or student login.

What subscribing means

If subscriptions are enabled, the form requests your email address, topic preferences, delivery frequency, and permission to send you updates. Cloudflare D1 stores the subscription record; Resend delivers confirmation and newsletter emails.

Verification and control

A new address stays unconfirmed until its owner uses the emailed confirmation form. Future emails include links for updating preferences and unsubscribing. Unsubscribed addresses remain suppressed so the system avoids accidentally re-adding them.

Reader accounts

If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with us. Cloudflare D1 stores them with your sign-up and last sign-in dates; no password, Google token or photo is kept. A signed, HttpOnly cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Delete your account at any time from your account page.

Accounts and the newsletter are separate: signing in never subscribes you to emails, and subscribing never creates an account or grants access to a paid lab.
